Buju, Nigerian artiste spent his childhood years in Gbagada, with his family later moving away to Ogun State. His young years were fairly normal, and he had an interest in music since he was little. His mother tragically passed away from cancer but before her death, she spoke Yoruba to her son, which helped him learn the language.

When he was in junior secondary school, Buju started writing music. At the time, he called himself Drizzle but later changed his stage name to Buju. He started out rapping and ended up joining the choir. With time, he began performing solo at valedictory services and carried his passion on to university.

Buju for a while stopped playing music as he kept comparing himself to other talented people and felt that they were better than him. He spent some time refining his style and getting inspired by influences like Burna Boy, Buju Banton, Damian Marley, and J Hus.

Buju first gain popularity with the help of social media after he requested that the audience help him in tagging Zlatan Ibile to a viral recording session video he posted so that he could dash him a free verse which was later a reality. After the free Verse for Zlatan, Buju Got signed to Spaceman ship By Burna Boy.

Buju in 2021 Has been tremendously amazing and has featured in records such as BLING by Blaqbonez feat Amarae, FEELINGS by Ladipoe, CONFIDENT by Savage & Most Recent BABA NLA by Dr Dolor. Although having his own record titled OUTSIDE, which has been doing tremendously well, He has also been seen working with Lots of Incredibly Amazing Phenomenal Talents such as M.I Abaga, Jae 5 and Wizkid.
